Storms are when this trade behaves worst — vans appearing uninvited, scare quotes, cash demanded up front. So our storm service is deliberately the opposite: a fixed make-safe price before we leave the yard, no call-out fee, and evidence you keep.
The make-safe visit stops the damage getting worse: temporary weatherproofing, loose material secured, photos of everything. Then the drone documents the whole roof — every elevation, date-stamped — which does two jobs at once: it prices the permanent repair from evidence, and it gives your insurance claim the documentation loss adjusters actually respond to.
If you’re claiming, we’ll supply the imagery formatted for your insurer and can deal with the loss adjuster directly. If you’re not sure whether it’s worth claiming, we’ll give you an honest steer — sometimes a £250 repair isn’t worth an excess and a premium bump, and we’ll say so.

What should I do right now, before anyone arrives?
Stay off the roof and off ladders. If water's coming in: contain it, move valuables, and photograph everything from inside — phone photos with timestamps help your claim. Don't accept doorstep 'repairs' from anyone who turns up uninvited after a storm; that's the classic rogue pattern.
Will my insurance cover it?
Storm damage to an otherwise sound roof usually yes — insurers typically look for genuine storm conditions and a roof that was in fair condition before. That second part is where our evidence pack matters: date-stamped imagery of the whole roof, not just the hole. You're entitled to use your own contractor; you don't have to take the insurer's network firm.
How fast can you come?
Make-safe calls jump everything else. In B90–B93 we aim for same-day; across south Birmingham, same or next day. The make-safe price is fixed on the phone — the permanent repair is quoted separately, in writing, once the roof is safe and surveyed.
